Hidden Treasure in Ely, Minnesota

People in Ely do wear clothes, lots of clothes, but if I am honest they don’t wear very nice ones. Ouch. They really don’t. And I have to say for two whole weeks on holiday over christmas I really enjoyed not wearing very nice clothes as well. Joggings. That’s what they call them. And although I didn’t indulge in any myself I can see why they do. I spent the whole two weeks indoors in leggings and two weeks outdoors in leggings and a snow suit and a funny hat.

But I did find this weird little shop house thing.

A thrift store with a couple of very cute pieces like my christmas day outfit – a plaid brushed cotton shirt with denim elbow patches, inside collar and cuffs and a knitted, embroidered weird novelty waistcoat to match. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.

I also bought a stripy blue and white jumper and a John Motson sheepskin jacket. Photos to follow…
